Batafon Arts is a vibrant West African group presenting its own brand of powerful West African rhythm and dance. In this special performance, professional musicians from Guinea, Conakry and The Gambia come together to share their heritage through music.
Led by Ali Bangoura, formerly of Les Ballets Africaine and now performing and teaching in Europe, together they present an acoustic performance that combines djembe, balafon, djun-djun, kirinyie and gongoma.
At times thrillingly energetic, at others, gentle and moving - the result is a sensational evening of music guaranteed to get you out of your seats.
