Cuba has a wealth of musical talent there is no doubt. Asere were spotted in 1996 by Colombian singer Toto La Mompesina and their career took off. This 7-piece band play son, changui, guaguanco and descarga - the rhythms that travelled from Havana to New York to join the great salsa melting pot. The music can be gentle and it can be wild and, as Toto discovered, Asere's energy, song writing skills, and raw power harness all this richness. They have released two punchy CDs to date and with wicked trumpet, tres and percussion on stage, dancing is guaranteed. Cuban DJ Leo (Babylon Lounge/Casa de la Musica) will be spinning the tunes. This is a cabaret style concert with dancing and Asere will be on stage at 9pm
