The Regency Society of Brighton & Hove 2003 – 2004 lecture season
An attempt to look beyond the proposed towers of Brighton and Hove and look at the wider questions concerning the organisation of urban form and the kind of urban environment we want to achieve. Thus the subject of tall buildings, but what they are for, their townscape qualities, their benefits in terms of public space, their long-term economic impact. Hopefully looking beyond their shapes and claddings, with respected speakers looking at the pros and cons of these tall storeys including Nicholas Antram, Assistant Director, Heritage London Region.
Tickets £5 or free to Regency Society members, University of Brighton staff/students.
