Presented by Extant Theatre in association with Turtle Key Arts
Extant Theatre, the only professional UK blind theatre company present a play that explores the extraordinary true story of Jacques Lusseyran (a blind, teenage leader within the French resistance movement of occupied Paris during WWII). The play tells the story of his betrayal, capture and subsequent interrogations by Nazi SS officers, leading to his final incarceration in Buchenwald concentration camp. Resistance uses physical theatre, experimental dance and live audio description to unfold a tense and exciting narrative that shows Jacques’ discovery through his blindness of a deeper perceptual awareness of the world. This production is accessible to all. £9/£6
