The 23 Palestinian members of the Al-Fanoon Folklore, founded in 2000 to promote the popular traditional songs and dance (‘dabke’), will be performing at the Sallis Benney Theatre. The band consists of a wonderful array of vocalists, instrumentalists and 16 folk dancers all performing in the traditional embroidered dresses of Palestine. They have successfully performed in many countries worldwide to represent and gain recognition for Palestinian vocal and dance performance.
