Harvey Brough is a versatile composer, arranger and performer. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Clare College Cambridge, after which he formed Harvey and the Wallbangers who toured Britain and Europe for six years, playing venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Sadlers Wells, the Forum and Berlin Tempodrom. Brough has worked as a composer for TV, radio and stage and as an arranger and producer in the music business. His many recordings include albums with the Wallbangers and the Jazz Album with Simon Rattle on EMI. In 2000 Harvey signed a publishing contract with Chester Music and conducted the Taverner Choir in a CD of music by Arvo Part and John Tavener, recently released by Sony Records. As an arranger he has worked with artists such as Soul II Soul, D Influence, Definition of Sound, Kim Wilde, Oleta Adams, Spiritualized and Terry Hall.
Currently he is working as arranger, performer and producer for a new album by singer Barbara Bonney, to be recorded in the autumn. He is also touring the UK and Europe as musical director with the Jocelyn Pook Ensemble and visiting Algeria to perform with Natasha Atlas as well as performing concerts with his own trio. free and open to the public
