Elena Cologni is a practitioner whose work in photography, video installation, but mostly visual art performance, is developed in the academic and artistic contexts. She studied at the Academy of Art Brera in Milan, Bretton Hall College, Leeds University, and has a PhD by practice from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
An AHRC award supported her project 'Present Memory and Liveness in delivery and reception of video documentation during performance art events'. Her recent residency at Glasgow CCA focuses on questions of migrations, remoteness and transmission of information over time and space.
