'Indigo: a unique dye with a colourful past and exciting future'.
Jenny will discuss her long fascination with indigo, especially its use in a wide range of historic and contemporary textiles from all over the world and in her own textile art. She is currently co-curator of Brighton Museum¹s autumn exhibition Indigo: A Blue To Dye For, (Sept. 29th-6th Jan 6th (a Whitworth Museum, Manchester, travelling exhibition.) This offers a survey
of the world¹s oldest and most distinctive dyestuff, and is a major national exhibition of textile art, craft, fashion and design, including contemporary installation art from Japan.
