Sallis Benney Theatre
Artist: Richard Wentworth
In conversation with leading designer Kit Grover, who creates bespoke products for the cultural sector.
The second in a series of three discussions by artists, writers and curators working with contemporary photography, devised by Photoworks and the University of Brighton and open to all. The current series focuses on the nature and use of objects within the representational space of the photographic image.
Since graduating from the RCA in the 1970s, Richard Wentworth has played a hugely influential role in contemporary British art. his work manipulates industrial and/or found objects into works of art, transforming the way we think about sculpture and photography. In his ongoing project Making Do and Getting By, Wentworth has photographed the uncanny configurations or makeshift arrangements of everyday objects that come to resemble accidental sculptures.
