How much do we know about the food we eat and how it arrives on our plates? What goes on behind the scenes and who is really in control of our food?

Food Inc is a documentary that reveals surprising – and sometimes shocking – truths about America’s industrialised, corporate-controlled food system and the effects it has on the environment, health, the economy and workers rights. 

During this year’s Food and Drink Festival you will have a chance to see this important documentary and learn more about what certain big companies don’t really want American consumers to know.

But what does that mean for us here in the UK? Following the film, Colin Tudge, author of So Shall We Reap and Feeding People is Easy and co-founder of Landshare and the Campaign for Real Farming, will speak about how the film relates to the UK food industry. There will also be plenty of time for further discussion and networking, and to find out what you can do to make a difference.
