The inaugural screening of the Green Deal Pioneer Places documentary, which follows three Brighton and Hove households while their homes have been transformed from inefficient, cold places to live with high energy bills to efficient, well-insulated, warm and cosy places to live with lower utility bills.
Well, that was the theory anyway! Did tempers fray? Did walls fall down? Are the houses warmer than they were? Come along to find out.
When and where?
The screening is on Thursday 6 June from 6.30pm-10pm at The Sallis Benney Theatre, Brighton.
What else is happening?
Former Mayor Bill Randall will be making the keynote speech. Other highlights include live music by Sam Green and the Midnight Heist, a tour of the University of Brighton’s Waste House by Duncan Baker-Brown and Cat Fletcher, and an introduction to this year’s Eco Open Houses.
You can even make your own free strawberry daiquiri, courtesy of C Change — as long as you’re prepared to power the blender by cycling for a bit!
You’ll also receive a glass of wine and canapés on us when you arrive.
