Jamie Wyld (Lighthouse)
Jamie Wyld is Programme Curator with digital culture agency Lighthouse (lighthouse.org.uk) in Brighton. He has wide-ranging experience as a curator and professional in arts development, including as visual arts officer for the Arts Council, in commissioning and curating artworks, supporting artists’ development, and is Director of artists’ moving image platform, videoclub (videoclub.org.uk). The session will cover approaching galleries and presenting yourself to professionals, such as curators, in the visual arts sector. There will also be signposting to resources that will help you write artist CVs, write proposals for exhibitions and best practice on writing funding applications, plus details about the local/regional visual arts infrastructure.
