Reclaiming the Alternative is a day event focused around change and the sharing economy.
This event aims to bring the students and the local community together in a day of collaboration, celebrating the ingenuity and creativity of those attending.
Designed as a pop up style, innovative event, destined to leave a sustainable footprint on the hearts of the students, the Student Union and the community at large.
Part carnival, part educational, part mad hatters tea party. The day draws on elements of surprise, ingenuity and the potential to strengthen the imaginations of its participants by demonstrating share-ability in action.
Activities for the day include:
Up-cycling workshops
Talks and debates
Live Music
Skill swap
Time banking
A chance to meet local co-operatives and Social Enterprises.
