The University is exploring what makes cult media as part of the University’s sponsored events at the Brighton Fringe in May.
Brighton Fringe is England’s largest arts festival and one of the largest fringe festivals in the world. It is running from 5 May to 4 June. The university is a key sponsor and is running events and supporting on a number of other workshops in the city.
The ‘Cult’ in Screen Culture is a talk from the university’s Film & Screen Studies degree team examining different kinds of ‘cult’ media, the processes by which media achieve cult status, and the kinds of media which are excluded from the category. The event runs on 31 May at 9pm at the Spiegelten, Old Steine. Find out more and book.

Preview of Brighton Fashion Show (31 May) – Brighton Spiegeltent, Old Steine
The students’ collections include both men’s and women’s fashion in a variety of innovative designs and from a variety of textiles. Tickets will go on sale shortly at £10 per person.
