This workshop is offered as a Techne Conflux, an extended training, development, exhibition or performance programme which aims to enhance research or intellectual skills, or facilitate the sharing of expertise amongst doctoral students in the arts and humanities.
This online event is a collective exploration of different acts, techniques, postures and spells actively affirming feminist resistance against patriarchy and extractive colonialism. The event is inspired by practices of knowledge producti
on and artistic creation developed by contemporary artists
based in Latin America.
The event was conceived in a collaborative mode over a series of conversations
attended by a transnational group of artists and researchers, including the
invited speakers. This project moves across different languages and forms of
knowledge-sharing, with the aim to challenge monolingualism and experimenting
with embodied and situated approaches to translation and writing.
Organised by Giulia Palladini, Giulia Casalini and Helena Botto (University of
Roehampton, UK) in conversation with Paola Marugan (UNAM, Mexico), Bertha Diaz
(independent researcher, Ecuador), Carolina Rocha/Dandara Suburbana (Brasil).
