We would like to invite you to join our upcoming networking lunch and workshop for Techne students, supervisors and partners at the Loughborough University London campus. The workshop will focus on issues around racial and social justice, decolonising archives, women, communication and culture.
This will be a great opportunity to meet other researchers connected with Techne, some of our partner organisations and other cultural organisations of the UK. If your research interests include communication, design, media, culture, history and memory as well as issues including racial and social justice, gender and decoloniality, you will find this event especially fruitful. The organisations will include Historical Royal Palaces, Welcome Collection, ICA, National Archives at Kew, Natural History Museum, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, V&A and others.
This event will provide opportunity for Techne students to meet some Techne partner organisations, to gain further understanding of the research and outreach activities of partner organisations, and to contribute to developing and planning new activities and programmes with partners and academics. Attendees will also benefit from contemporary discussions on issues such as communication, culture, media, memory, racial justice, decolonising archives and women that will be held both from practice-based, applied research perspectives and from theoretical and conceptual perspectives as we will also invite latter-focused academics to this event.
