Overcommitting or How to Say 'No'

15th Mar 2023 2:00pm-3:00pm

To attend this webinar please book on Inkpath. Inkpath is an app available to all Techne students, if you're not already using please click here to find out how to get started.

Do you feel like you constantly take on more work than you can handle?

Always feel stressed by your To-Do list?

Find it hard to say no to people?

Chances are that you are self-sabotaging by doing too much.

This session will explore the problem of overcommitting - including the relationship between people-pleasing and perfectionism - and will offer practical ideas of how you can start to set boundaries and reduce your risk of burnout on your PhD journey and beyond.

Join Dr Emma Brodzinski for this 'deep dive' webinar. Emma runs Techne's 'Breathing Space' wellbeing programme. She helps PhD researchers navigate their doctoral journey from managing issues such as imposter syndrome, perfectionism and difficult relationships with their supervisors; to maintaining motivation; and finding fulfilment and even enjoyment on their PhD journey.
