Practice
Research PhDs: Impact and Career Development
Wednesday 25th May 2016, Room TB06, Time 11am - 4pm
This workshop is aimed at supporting PhD candidates employing Practice Research
methods, or any PhD programme with practice-based outcomes, in sharing and
communicating their knowledge claims effectively. The aims of the workshop
are:
The first part of the event will include a seminar on Practice Research and sustainability, along with a discussion on how best to consider the disciplinary impact of your practical outcomes. The main feature of the day will be a ‘Practice Research Clinic’ that will allow each participant to receive feedback on their current approach to sharing or evidencing their research. There will also be a guest respondent who will take part in the second seminar, as well as offering expert feedback as part of the clinic.
Lunch will be provided. Please state any dietary requirements when booking.
