International Placement Scheme Regional Events

The International Placement Scheme (IPS) is an annual programme providing Early Career Researchers (ECRs), doctoral level research assistants and AHRC/ESRC* funded doctoral students with dedicated access to the internationally renowned collections, programmes and expertise held at the IPS institutions. These consist of seven world-leading, international institutions:

 

The Harry Ransom Center, at The University of Texas at Austin, USA

The Huntington Library, California, USA

Library of Congress, Washington D.C., USA

National Institutes for the Humanities, Japan

The Shanghai Theatre Academy, Shanghai, China

The Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., USA

The Yale Center for British Art, Connecticut, USA

 

*Please note that ESRC-funded students will only be eligible to apply to the Library of Congress.

The AHRC are hosting a series of UK regional events in November 2017. The event is an opportunity to:

 

  • Find out about the International Placement Scheme;
  • Hear from IPS alumni;
  • Ask AHRC any questions you may have;
  • Network with IPS Alumni and other potential applicants.
