Case study 1: Government policy & the creative arts

Case study 2: Government policy & history

Dan Stone, Professor of Modern History at Royal Holloway, University of London, notes on the Holocaust Research Centre at Royal Holloway.  History & Policy offers a range of resources and support to historians wanting to influence public policy.

Dr Andrew Blick, Director of History & Policy, Kings College London, speaks about how to give evidence to parliament, at the Inspire & Engage workshop December 2015. 

‘What is the value of history in policymaking?’ by Dr Catherine Haddon, Dr Joe Devanny, Professor Charles Forsdick and Professor Andrew Thompson (2014). The report has come out of four round table discussions relating to ‘Making History Work’, organised by the AHRC’s Care for the Future: Thinking Forward Through the Past and Translating Cultures research themes as well as the Institute for Government.


Case study 3: Cultural policy & museums

Dr Rhi Smith, Director of Museum Studies at the University of Reading, speaks about policy in the museum world.
