Talk
The University of Brighton’s The Big Read campaign encourages all first year students to read a Man Booker nominated novel. This year’s book is Harvest by award-winning novelist Jim Crace.
Set in a medieval feudal village on the cusp of great change, it has been described by the Guardian as “a powerful allegory for our times”. At tonight’s event (open to students and the public) Crace reads extracts from the book and discusses his work in a Q&A session.
