Kate Shaw, Literary Agent, The Viney Agency, London

Kate Shaw has been a literary agent since 2001, joining The Viney Agency in 2009. She represents writers of literary and commercial fiction, children's books from age 7+, and non-fiction across a variety of genres including politics, current affairs, memoir and lifestyle. Her passion is nurturing new literary talent.

Sylvie Zannier, Literary Scout and Agent

Sylvie Zannier-Betts is a literary scout based in Brighton, reporting on books from the UK - fiction, non-fiction and children's - to foreign publishers, advising them on what could be of interest for their list and respective markets.

How to Get Published has been organised has been organised by Isabel Ashdown, the University of Brighton's Writer in Residence. Isabel is author of three novels, all published by Myriad:
