This is the annual show of work by graduating MA students from Sequential Design and Illustration, and Design by Independent Project courses at the University of Brighton. Students come from a number of different disciplines and the exhibition will reflect this, embracing photography, drawing, animation, painting, and even dance. Expect top-quality work from students who include among their number a winner of the Macmillan Prize for Children's Picture Book Illustration.
A reinvention of the bagpipes using modern-day materials, children's books that aim to help abused children talk about their problems, chairs made from materials such as carrots, cake, dice and sweets, tapestry and embroidery that take on world conflict as a theme, acartoon strip about a man who writes the jokes for the inside of crackers. These are just a few examples of the students’ work that will be on display during the final exhibition.
Open 10 am – 5pm except 27 September when the exhibition closes at 3pm.
