This exhibition is the work of two artists – a sculptor and a photographer. Rachel Harrison and Peter Fraser, both of whom have created extraordinary bodies of work whilst looking, most often, at the most ordinary of things. Their very different practices allow us to reconsider their respective media, and the important relationships that exist between them.
Rachel Harrison (b.1966) lives and works in New York and has recently had a solo exhibition at the Bergen Kunsthall, as well as in the Whitney Biennial 2002, and the Venice Biennale 2003. Peter Fraser (image illustrated) (b.1953) lives and works in London and was recently the subject of a survey exhibition and publication at The Photographers’ Gallery, London in 2002.Brighton Photo Biennial 2003 in association with the Centre for Contemporary Visual Arts.
