Public event, all welcome
The university staff and students open the doors for a Pop-up Makers' Fair over four days in the University Gallery at Grand Parade this December, offering art and craft items for sale to everyone.
A range of work is available at affordable prices - ideal Christmas gifts with a local arts twist. Stalls include prints and original pictures, silver and acrylic jewellery, candleholders, ceramics, sculpture, lamps, Christmas cards, badges textiles and clothing. Alongside will be family art and craft activities including printing, origami, marbling, badge-making and cartooning.
The concurrent, annual Graphic Brighton event introduces internationally famous Manga artists Inko and Chie Kutsuwada to the fair on Saturday 10 Dec with the chance for children to join in with cartooning and comic making, while textiles students invite visitors to their work-in-progress exhibition.
