University of Victoria Community Mapping Collabatory,
Green Maps and
University of Brighton’s Community 21 are co-working with others to explore the potential of mapping to help develop our communities. To take this work forward we are arranging a special community mapping exchange and learning network development event. We would like to invite practitioners and academics to come along to share what they are doing in community mapping and participatory design to explore how we might all work together. If you are mapping for social good, working with community or Green Maps within a university, partnership or community setting, you are most welcome to come and join us to present your work, and exchange ideas on collaboration and movement building.
The event will start with a short presentation from
Maeve Lydon,
Wendy Brawer and
Nick Gant to set the context and then participants will be asked to take five minutes to present their work. We will then move to a collective discussion on how we might progress.
Please RSVP to
cupp@brighton.ac.uk - if you would like to present your work please let us know in a couple of sentences what you would like to talk about.
