Costas Varotsos : Extended Space
COSTAS VAROTSOS (b. 1955) in Athens, Greece studied sculpture in Accademia di Belle Arti, Rome and Universita di Pescara, Architetura and obtained Fulbright Grant in 1990-91, New York. Since 1999 he is Elected Professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (School of Architecture), Greece and also Member of the Swiss Engelberg Academy.
He was awarded Cavaliere dell’ Ordine Della Stella Della Solidarieta’ Italiana in 2004. Other awards include Segno d’ Oro 2007 (Italy), Street Trend award 2004/2005 (for the work Untitled 2001, Switzerland), 2004 Best sculpture, The Year in Review 2004, for his work Contiguous Currents in Palm Beach, Florida, USA and 2011 Excellence from AUTH for his work Tension-Energy in Lucerne, Switzerland.

In collaboration with the architect D.Kontaxakis (2004) and Project for a monument construction in Veria, Greece, in collaboration with the architect N.Kalogirou
(2004).
