The first 'Social Studio' project 'Rewilding Valley Gardens' launches with a private view and exhibition at the ONCA Gallery on 30 September. The exhibition runs until 17 October.
This Heritage Lottery funded project in collaboration with Rewilding Sussex has seen volunteer students participate in a pilot project exploring 'design for bio-diversity' a research and engagement theme we would like to progress as a distinct area in the future. The project includes students from across the school in collaboration with conservation, biology, history of art and geography students in envisioning products to encourage engagement with importance of biodiversity and our natural heritage in our city.
The project has led onto a student project running this year and journal and book publications are planned for 2016. BBC Wildlife and Design Week will be attending this and the 'flash mob' events planned alongside.
