Philsoc and the School of Humanities are hosting a wine reception and talk to celebrate the recent publication of the following books by four members of staff in the School of Humanities.
Dr Mark Abel – Groove: An Aesthetic of Measured Time
Dr Cathy Bergin – ‘Bitter with the Past but Sweet with the Dream’: Communism in the African American Imaginary
Dr Robin Dunford – The Politics of Transnational Peasant Struggle: Resistance, Rights and Democracy
Dr Clare Woodford – Disorienting Democracy: Politics of Emancipation
The session will be introduced and chaired by Professor Bob Brecher. Each speaker will give a brief talk introducing the books, before a question and answer session.
