BIAAS talks: Catrina Stewart - Colour for a green city

Catrina Stewart graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture and was awarded Distinction for her project the ‘London City Farmhouse’. She is currently working in practice in London while also pursuing other ventures within design and theory. Amongst these projects, the design and build of a new shop front in Leyton, an egg for the Big Egg Hunt in London and a ‘hand made’ computer game for State of Play Games. Her work has been widely exhibited and published in architecture magazines and websites, including, the Architecture Review magazine, BLDGBLOG and Dezeen. She has recently become a tutor at Brighton University and will be running an undergraduate studio with Kate Cheyne after Christmas.

In her lecture ‘Colour for a Green City’ she will be presenting her final year thesis and design project as well as some of the projects she has embarked on since. She will be discussing colour in architecture and the social, cultural and architectural implications of existing and new technologies, and the increasing need for cities to find alternative ways of expanding.
