"Human creativity. Entrepreneurial aspiration. Collaborative endeavour."
Matthew Taylor CEO RSA
The University of Brighton is proud to host Matthew Taylor, CEO of the RSA, as part of our ERASMUS+ project CLEVER exploring creative leadership and as part of our ongoing RSA series on aspects of contemporary leadership Matthew Taylor, CEO of the RSA, has spoken and written regularly on creative thinking and how everyone can be empowered to pursue creative lives.
In his RSA Chairman lecture, 2014, Matthew Taylor said “there’s one thing to which we can all aspire - to live creative lives, lives of which we are the author, lives which allow us to be the best people we can be.” He visits us to lead an open discussion as to the value of this creativity within leadership roles. This includes looking at both leadership in and leadership through creativity and the creative economy. It also considers how creative styles of leadership can harness new, productive thinking that impact socially and globally.
At the heart of university education is the power that comes through creative decision-making. We encourage innovation and constructive practices based on rigorous understanding of what already exists. Our evening will reflect on the opportunities that creativity can bring and the value of this when influencing others for the better.
Admission to this event is free but requires reservation. Book tickets via Eventbrite
