Journal articles formed a valuable part of our REF2014 submission and will continue to do so in the next REF cycle. With recent additions to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Professoriate, Brighton now has a key editorial stake in three of the major international research journals in Design: Bruce Brown is an Editor for Design Issues (MIT Press), Cheryl Buckley is Chair of the Editorial Board for The Journal of Design History (Oxford Press), and Peter Lloyd is an Associate Editor for Design Studies (Elsevier).
This seminar will give an introduction and overview for each journal as well as picking up on current research themes and emerging trends by taking a detailed look at the past year’s published output. The format will be three, 30 minute presentations, followed by general discussion.
Coffee will be available and all are welcome to attend.
