Techne Careers Consultant - Darcey Gillie
Darcey has over 12 years’ experience supporting the careers of PGRs, research staff, and senior academic colleagues. She was pedagogical lead on the FutureLearn MOOC “Career Management for Early Career Academic Researchers”, which won a national award for impact and was used by researchers all over the world. In addition to being an experienced careers consultant for research students and research staff, she was a professional development manager at the University of Sheffield where she taught on the PG Cert in Academic Practice, the Sheffield Teaching Assistant (teaching skills for PGRs), developed training in blended learning for HEA fellowships, coached fellowship applicants, and coached successful National Teaching Fellow candidates.
