Rosie Williams

This knitwear collection pulls inspiration primarily from the sculptures of Anish Kapoor and the architecture of Zaha Hadid. Primary colours work alongside more muted greys and charcoals, with a wide range of knit techniques explored. Hand knit, machine knit and laser cutting have been used to translate Kapoor’s bold shapes and textures. Geometric shapes and patterns convey those seen at the Olympic Park in London as well as the Stirling prize-winning Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton, London, designed by Zaha Hadid. A look back to Pierre Cardin’s 1960s space-age designs, Jean-Paul Goude, Bauhaus principles and the work of constructivist artist Rodchenko have all helped inform this collection.
