At first I thought this piece was an example of everything I was scared to become a part of; everyday life; in the same room, the same building, the same clothes, the same journey everyday, for the rest of my life. At the time of drawing the image, it almost felt like a trap, like I would fall through the floor into this inescapable structure. However, I see now that the more I look, the more I recognise myself in that constructed space, after all, I created it and therefore feel comfortable within it, the regularity and overall control I had within it seems to scream ‘Alice!’.
