One of the unarguable successes of the ADM-HEA Subject Centre, based until recently at the University of Brighton, has been the funding of teaching and learning projects in art, design and media. Over the past 11 years the Subject Centre sought to support the key themes identified by the Higher Education Academy through its funding of a diverse range of innovative projects across the sector.

In recent years the volume and quality of proposals submitted has been staggering and the selection process more and more challenging. As we present the final round of project reports, Networks would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to this process: applicants; reviewers; successful project holders; and the teams of students colleagues have engaged. The contribution the project holders have made to indentifying issues and investigating and reporting practice has been invaluable to the development of teaching and learning in the higher education sector.
