Brixton Calling! (March-December 2011) is a collaborative and participatory project and an exhibition that connect contemporary Brixton to its past - through the history of 1980s Brixton Art Gallery & Artists Collective and their archives.

•    Seven Community Archiving and Engagement projects based at 198 and being developed in Brixton right up to September 2011.

•    Research development and realisation of a series of Archive Installations by BACA, focusing on key exhibitions held at the Brixton Art Gallery between 1983-1986.

Amongst these exhibitions, are those curated by Women's Work and the Black Women Artists group, the two women's groups based at the Brixton Art  Gallery.  For Brixton Calling! exhibition, artists and founding members Françoise Dupré and Rita Keegan, are creating an installation that celebrates the contribution made by Feminists and Women Artists to the Brixton Art Gallery.
