Reshaping Learning Conference

The University of Brighton College of Arts and Humanities' School of Architecture and Design hosted an international conference in July 2010

Keynote Speakers:

Ronald Barnett, Emeritus Professor of Higher Education, Institute of Education, University of London and author of several books on our ideas about the contemporary university, including Reshaping the University: New Relationships between Research, Teaching and Scholarship (2005) and Universities, Ethics and Professions (2009), with John Strain and Peter Jarvis.

Dr Jos Boys, CETLD Senior Research Fellow in Learning Spaces, whose research and practice explores relationships between the design of space and its diverse occupation, has worked extensively on community-based projects, with local, feminist and disabled groups as well as having a long-term involvement in art and design education.  Jos Boys is also author of Towards creative learning spaces: re-thinking the architecture of post-compulsory education to be published later this year.
